Floral Embroidery Hoop Art

Three basic stitches are all you need for this sweet floral hoop. It is slow, relaxing, and the result looks beautiful on any wall.

You will need

  • Embroidery hoop (15-20 cm)
  • Linen or cotton fabric
  • Embroidery floss in 3-4 colors
  • Needle and small scissors

Sketch the design

Lightly pencil a simple stem with five petals onto the fabric stretched in the hoop.

Stitch the petals

Fill petals with satin stitch, working from the outer edge toward the center.

Finish the stem

Use a backstitch for the stem and tiny French knots for flower centers.

Tip: Do not pull too tight. Gentle tension keeps the fabric flat and the stitches even.
